Passing the ‘C+E‘ test is a requirement for operating an articulated vehicle or a rigid vehicle towing a large trailer (also known wagon and drag in the industry). … The provisional licence for a ‘C+E‘ vehicle is an automatic entitlement on passing the ‘C‘ licence which is the prerequisite for sitting this licence. This licence is also commonly called class 1 licence as was its previous name and enables driver to tow a trailer over 750kg. This is the most comprehensive lorry licence that a driver can hold.

Careers in professional driving transporting or carriage goods in rigid truck towing a trailer or in an articulated truck. Wages are higher for C+E drivers than C as this is the most comprehensive licence to hold.
